Milan, Italy — At Gastech 2025, one of the world’s leading energy forums, Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar announced a series of significant LNG supply agreements signed by BOTAŞ (Petroleum Pipeline Corporation) with global energy giants.
BOTAŞ signed an LNG supply deal with Hartree, covering 600 million cubic meters of LNG over a two-year period. Another key agreement was reached with U.S. LNG producer Cheniere, which will provide 1.2 billion cubic meters of LNG.
In addition, BOTAŞ secured a three-year agreement with Germany’s SEFE, ensuring 600 million cubic meters annually, totaling 1.8 billion cubic meters. This partnership is expected to strengthen Türkiye’s natural gas supply security while creating new commercial opportunities.
With Japan’s leading energy company JERA, BOTAŞ concluded a deal for 600 million cubic meters of LNG. Furthermore, a major three-year contract was signed with Norway’s state-owned Equinor, covering 1.5 billion cubic meters of LNG supply.
These agreements underscore Türkiye’s strategic role in regional energy security and its commitment to building a sustainable, diversified LNG infrastructure. By partnering with energy giants from the U.S., Europe, and Asia, BOTAŞ is positioning Türkiye as a key hub in the global natural gas market.
