Currency issues will likely be discussed at this week's annual meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, said the bank's president, Robert Zoellick. He did not say which currencies could make the agenda at the meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, saying only that if you have a currency that has a weakness, that will affect other currencies, and that can affect trade.
Zoellick reiterated recent remarks that the U.S. dollar's status as the world's reserve currency should not be taken for granted. |
